I'm still strolling through the park, sprinting from one shadowy spot to another to avoid the heat. There's a tree, a statue/fountain and a trellis or two you might recognize from earlier photos in this shot.

This is the fifth edited version of this particular photo with a minor variation from the previous one. I was forced to lay off a summer time employee to bring this to you. She insisted on riding her mower through the background of the scene. Chances are you might not have noticed her presence, if not for the noise she was making. Made it kind of hard to convince the boss I was hard at work with the sound of a mower in the background. So, sorry, she had to go.

I went widescreen with the presentation. Couldn't be helped, I had too much path in the foreground and not enough sky to go the other way. Deepened the shadows in the foreground and sky; needed some colour for the sky. Wouldn't do to have it bland and overexposed. And to top it off added a slight saturation boost to the colours in the photo. More or less just experimenting with some new to me editing processes. I also foolishly did the editing on a laptop screen. So for all I know the colours and shadows are way off.

Enjoy and your comments welcomed.

You will blow Dodger's mind with this one Wendell. The trellis' are leaning all which directions. Impossible to straighten them all. Too bad about the mower lady but it was probably too hot for her anyway.
The last time I used a laptop I was at this club and one of the dancers...............oh my gosh, I was typing that out loud.
Lots of colors and they blend to make a nice photo. You might want to give the guy a break as well before he becomes dehydrated what with the heat and all.

Nice - seems to tilt a little to the left to me but it may be my eyes. I try not to edit or comment on images when on my laptop as I find things a little skewed or sometimes washed out- prefer to look at them on my large monitor though my laptop is 17.6in. Like this series Wendell but watch the heat - it's been brutal in my neck of the woods.

Okay, Wendell...

Now you have Kathy noticing the left tilt. So here's what I did. I dropped this shot into AutoCAD, the engineering software that I used to use everyday when I worked. I zoomed in on the fence in the background. Yep, that's it. The black wrought iron fence. Listen to me and pay attention! Look at the fountain. To the right of the fountain there are two large trees in the distant background. Yes, those trees. Now...if you count over to the sixth vertical support, you'll see that it's leaning left by 0°27'15" according to AutoCAD. Typically I would have used the trellises, but as TicK noted they're leaning every which way. Actually my first indicator was the uppermost cloud which is leaning right. If your shots continue to lean left, you might consider switching from boxers to briefs.

Other than the tilt, the shot looks good to me. Neat lookin' park with that classy fountain well captured in the oppressive heat. 6.5 out of 10 from me.

Colors are good and a real tilt to the wooden objects, but I think the bowl part of the fountain is not level, that's why I think it looks tilted. If you want a guess, that's mine. I do like the whole scene though.

Its lovely subject matter but there is such a lot of detail in the picture i find it a bit overwhelming! It looks as if the contrast settings might be a bit too high. I love all the colours though :D

Great looking photo again of this area and very peaceful looking place I might say.Love all the colours and light in this photo and the angle you took the shot from as well.It looks like the figure on the water feature as a bladder problem or was it helping you clear the staff off the lawn lol.
