The Horticultural Hall greets us at one of the Public Gardens entrances. Feel free to toss some coins in the fountain, or make some change if no one is watching, as you walk by it. You never know when you're going to need exact change, so don't pass up the chance while you have it. I won't tell anybody, honestly. The Horticultural Hall was built in 1847 and erected by the Halifax Horticultural Society to serve as a meeting room, and the cellars were used to store vegetables. The building has been restored since 2003 when Hurricane Juan damaged the gardens. According to the brochure light refreshments, including the all important ice cream, are available in the building. I bet you're wishing you had exact change now.

Enjoy and your comments welcomed.

Ice cream sounds good Wendell. It is ok to cool my heels in the fountain while the Horticulturists are gaining some culture.
I imagine the vegetable cellar has some old wine in it they used after the temperance meetings. Good colors and it is really clear.

The reason why the sun sets in the evening is because it wants to see the sunrise in the morning. I rise in the morning because I want to see them both. RvdB

Very nice shot of this cute building - I'm more interested in the vegetables in cellar than the ice cream!

I lead a very dull and drab life, Wendell. The one and only high point in my day is viewing and commenting on your latest posting. There's something very healing and soothing to my psyche of being able to let go with a bunch of expletives about the pathetic offerings you sacrifice at my alter. By the time I run my comments through my thesaurus to weed out the foul language and find synonyms for horrible and smelly, half my day is gone.

It is with true sadness and a heavy heart that I view what I had hoped would be your usual sacrificial lamb of the day. It saddens me to say that this is an excellent shot. All thing technical are in perfect balance and harmony. The posting is naturally symmetrical and beautifully captured and edited.

Now what kind of rope would you recommend for my hanging because life without your typical postings is no life at all.

Wendell - Ice cream? Ice cream? Let's get going. See why I don't want to sit on the benches in your other post. Of course, after buying some IC, I could sit on this bench for a bit. I like this image a lot. Well done! Thad
