Another in a long line of my "I really messed up this photo but I liked the scene so lets try something completely different and see how it turns out what have I got to lose besides the time spent manipulating the heck out of the shot" photos.

The photo was shot while speeding by on a busy highway (and no I was not doing the driving; honestly how stupid do you think I am, I can barely walk and chew gum at the same time let alone drive and take photos).

Enjoy the scene and your comments welcomed.

It looks like a very good rustic painting to me. The grunge of industrialization invading rural life.

Well it interesting and different,it looks like you was speeding past in a car when you took the shot lol. This piece is great when not enlarged but i would also say if it was on canvas and enlarged plus from a distance it would also look great. If you no what I mean, well done to a nice piece of art work.

Wendell - I like your experimentation with textures (a stylized sky?). Thad

Wendell....This posting reminds me of your "Scenes from the Road" series that you took while steering with your feet and shooting out the driver side window at 85 mpg. Those shots showed some motion blur since you were trying to drive, take photos and throw beer bottles out of the speeding truck at the same time.

You've done an admirable job of beating the tar out of this with your Roger-like editing techniques. The image really does have a neat look about it. Not sure what you did on purpose or if you just threw your hands in the air after three hours of editing, but the resulting image has a unique feel. It almost reminds me of some of the stuff that Rob has done with his Photo.net manipulations. The bottom line: I like it and would like some details of what you recall doing to get this image.

If life gives you Silo's, make Silonade. You did it perfectly Wendell. I thing Doug described it best.
