A continuation of the "Bench Series". A shot of a quiet stream bed caught in the shadows of a bright summer's day.

I was expecting anything from 00¾ to a pig in a blanket Wendell.
You can be pretty sneaky.
It looks like you are playing it straight on this beauty. You have used the light and dark to your advantage. I have a feeling this isn't the first time.
This warm looking scene will look like an oasis come mid February.

The reason why the sun sets in the evening is because it wants to see the sunrise in the morning. I rise in the morning because I want to see them both. RvdB

Excellent shot of this bench, Wendell. By far the finest bench in this series of benches and perhaps the most colorful bench I've ever seen on Caedes or anywhere else for that matter. If I could only see it through the trees and behind those shadows.

Either you're a glutton for punishment, like to push the envelope or maybe you just like to make yourself work for your shots. I never would have even tried a shot with such deep shadows and such bright, direct sunlight. I've always thought that Thad was really good with manipulating the light and dark contrast to make a shot of extremes work well. You've done a noble job. Maybe the darks are too dark in the bottom right for my tastes, but overall it looks like a pretty neat place to rest a butt. Nice focus (not too sharp and not too soft), great colors, and really nice work highlighting that bench. :-)

P.S. This is my 45th comment so far today; so cut me some slack.
