No attempt was made to make this scene look anything close to being level. On the other hand an attempt was made to adjust the lighting. What was I thinking shooting directly into the sun like that. Perhaps, judging from past comments, this is too dark for some of you. Looks fine on my uncalibrated monitors is all I can say.

A scene of one of the many trails in the park. I choose to take the downward route on this trail as the upward route can be taxing on the legs. Though on the upside there is a bench at the top of the path for resting your tired legs. There should be an oxygen tank there too for the short of breathers who make it that far.

Enjoy the scene and your comments welcomed.

All the leaning trees appear to give the image motion, and a spooky appearance.

Wendell....

I'm starting to realize a couple of things about you. First of all, your shots run in packs. Let's call them theme based. First of all I think that you're trying to pull one over on us. I don't believe that this is a park that is full of benches. I think that you've lugged this bench from shot to shot and placed the same bench in various locations. As we all know benches in your area of Canada are on the endangered species list. So the idea of shooting a park and having a bench in every corner is physically impossible. I would have been more apt to believe this themed image if you had used a unicorn to carry your equipment and tied the pack animal to various trees. Unicorns possibly, but benches no way.

It is also apparent to me that you had a tough childhood. If Oliver Twist could take photos, they'd look like this. Your tortured soul is clear visible in these postings. Why else would you continue to torture yourself under such difficult lighting conditions. Bingo!!! Exactly!!! Your ego was destroyed when you were abused as a child.

As long as the trees all lean left, the horizon looks fine to me. Except for a few spots at the top and directly between the two large trees where the direct sunlight blew through, the shot looks great. I like the lighting contrasts on the ground. Maybe a 7+ out of 10.

I like this shot and the path, but I would sure get out of there before it started getting dark. I'm a chicken you see and it looks scary to me. Great photo though.

I found it hard to look at this perspective, although I do like the light and dark. After trying straightening it, I found the picture full of peaceful mystery. Just a thought.

I agree with Doug, I do get a sense of motion in this image, and slightly spooky, as if a chase is taking place...an interesting perspective and I rather like it.

In your light I learn how to love. In your beauty, how to make poems. You dance inside my chest, where no one sees you, but sometimes I do, and that sight becomes this art. ~Rumi~

The reason why the sun sets in the evening is because it wants to see the sunrise in the morning. I rise in the morning because I want to see them both. RvdB

I dont know if I have one of them calibrated monitors but it looks pretty fine to me. A few sun colors coming through but I just think it add to the shot. You have some pretty interesting spots out there.

I too like the sun coming through in a few spots - it makes it feel as if we are there in the woods.

It looks like the wind has its way with the trees on top of this hill Wendell. It must be a popular place because the grass in non existent. It might be due to the sunlight being restricted.
You use of lighting is very good. I never really thought you were always on the level anyway. :)
Good post.

This really makes me want to go hiking! I think it's a great shot, I like the ray of sunlight shining through in the top right of the picture. Thumbs up! :) - Matthew
