Looking up seemed like a good thing to do when walking by this cliff. You never know when those pesky squirrels are going to launch an attack and they definitely have the height advantage here.

Enjoy the scenery and try not to get a crick in your neck. Your comments welcomed.

So you took this when you fell down and was lying there winded didn't you Wendell? The lighting is nice and bright and the sky enhances the greenery. No sign of squirrels but you can never be too careful.
Good post.

Either I need new glasses or you've got another interesting perspective happening here...once again I get a sense of movement, as if I am spinning...is it just me?

In your light I learn how to love. In your beauty, how to make poems. You dance inside my chest, where no one sees you, but sometimes I do, and that sight becomes this art. ~Rumi~

Wendell, I know what you mean about those squirrels. I just back from an evening walk way out in the sticks beyond wine country. The nearest town was at least 30 miles away. There were squirrels everywhere above me as I walked for hours while looking almost straight up into every tree that lined the path until I realized I had left the path hours earlier and was completely lost in the middle of nowhere. As the sun set, the regular tree squirrels went to sleep and their cousins, the blood sucking flying squirrels came out in droves. I had heard that they can literally smell fear. When they attacked, I didn't have a chance. I survived the ordeal but they took my nuts.

P.S. A fine presentation of a typically atypical Wendellesque view of the world. Great colors, fine contrast, and glorious yet soft focus. The perspective makes this shot. I agree with Tick. Seems to me you had to be lying on your back.

This is truly a stunner with or without the crick in ones neck. Wonderful greenery all leading up to that gorgeous sky! A real beauty of a shot!

This is most striking sky Wendell and the green at the top of the cliff only enhances it.

The reason why the sun sets in the evening is because it wants to see the sunrise in the morning. I rise in the morning because I want to see them both. RvdB
