Well, Wendell, I must be the most ignorant person on Caedes and beyond. When I first saw the title I naturally assumed that I would be seeing a merganser as in "one who merganses" just as a runner is one who runs. Since I merganse on an amateur level and nearly made the Olympic team is freestyle mergansing, I had hoped for something other than another shot of a duck. I am dismayed, disappointed, shocked and - may I say it - even appalled at your thoughtlessness. If I wasn't a lady I'd tell you to go %$&* yourself with a pickled ^&$%#er and then *�@*& your *%$#*ing %$@&!!.

P.S. Spectacular shot of the duck. The composition is right on and the DoF is perfection. The shot is wonderfully focused. If not for the interesting background, I might have cropped it. Faves for me.

It looks like when you yelled "Duck!" some of them took you seriously Wendell. I believe one of them even dove. No, not dove as in Ferlin Huskey, but dove as in Greg Louganis.
I like the background. In your case I would say it is Broken.
Clarity on the one in the foreground is quite clear.

Very interesting photo of a bird in the UK we call the Goosander.I like how you have the back of the scene blurred bring the eyes to focus on the main subject.
