So I was planted in front of the tube the other night so totally not engrossed in the program being aired and snapped this shot for the lack of anything better to do. The remote was way over there (points across the room to the right) and I didn't feel like getting up to retrieve it. The camera on the other hand was close at hand. That hopefully explains the blue light to your satisfaction. I came close to posting the green tinted version, but this one is much clearer. Just seeing what I could do with the available lighting conditions with this photo. So it was either this scene or some figurines in a glass case with way worse lighting conditions.

The couple in the background photo are my grandparents. From a photo shot 50+ years ago at my parents wedding.

Enjoy and your comments welcomed.

Hi ya, Wendell....

I've been playing with indoor photography and available light too; so I know that you're just making this look easy when it's really not. Love the accents and TV reflections on the glass bowl. I downloaded this and zoomed in to the reflection in the upper right of the bowl. Looked like the Playboy Channel to me. I'm not sure from your narrative if the blue tinting is from the TV or something you concocted. I like to think it's "natural" lighting from the TV. My only problem with this shot is the vertical mode. You included quite a bit of negative space at the top and chopped off part of the frame and some interesting looking stuff on the right side background. Basically I guess I'm trying to say that I enjoy this window into your life and would have liked to have seen more.

P.S. Wonderful narrative and a fave for this glimpse of originality.

I may be schizophrenic, but at least I have each other.

I think the blurred photo adds the most interest to the scene Wendell. You fake us out with the blue spell and make us wonder about the couple in the photo.
You are in aisle one at K-Mart and we are stuck at customer service.
Good photo and narrative.
Grandkids make great remote fetchers. :)

Narrative a picture both very good Wendell indoors is always tricky with the light.

Very interesting glimpse into a part of your world if I'm to believe the narrative - I too have been playing with low light conditions since my new camera is supposed to do well under those condiions. This is unusual and interesting.

Super shot and love the blues. I hear you about the TV lately, I throw DVD's in.

The blue glow seems just right for this shot Wendell.
I like it very much :)

My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust
