I'm going to stretch the truth as I know it and claim this was shot on the last day of winter. If it wasn't it was close enough and it's the thought that counts. It might well have been the day after. Which means I have to change the name to the "First Day of Spring". So feel free to call it whatever strikes your fancy. It is definitely not summertime, unless there was a late snowfall that year.

Another view of the gazebo area of the park. I think this is about the fourth time it's been featured in a photo. I'm beginning to wonder why.

Enjoy and your comments welcomed.

This looks like a nice spot perhaps later in spring or summer or at best in the fall.

The reason why the sun sets in the evening is because it wants to see the sunrise in the morning. I rise in the morning because I want to see them both. RvdB

It's a beautiful place to take photos that is probably why you go back to it. I like everything about the scene.

What an interesting location. I bet the stairs, the gazebo, and those benches will be getting more of a work out soon. I also bet there are a ton of photo ops up those steps as well.

Lovely shot no matter winter or spring, what a beautiful & peaceful scene. OK, now many stairs are there up to the top? I'm ready to race you.

I think you feature it because of the pointy hat it wears. A sorta cross between a gnome and the tin man.
The place looks so desolate but knowing you are there taking a photo adds warmth to the scene Wendell.
The red wood looks good against the snow.

That's a cool shot, Wendell. Nicely composed and it has excellent colors and clarity. I just wish there would be an escalator there along side the steps! LOL.

It looks like a good spot to return to when it rains. Good shot.
