The base of one of the fountains in the Halifax Public Gardens.

First off I want to say I didn't break it. I found it this way and after I got rid of the security tapes nobody can prove otherwise. I wish the plant leaves weren't there either, so stop complaining. There was nothing I could do about them seeing as I had left my hedge clippers in my other pants pocket at home when I was visiting. Sure I could have gone to a garden center or hardware store and bought some, but the nearest such place was several kms away and people tend to give you strange looks if you wander the streets with a pair of hedge clippers sticking out of your belt. Or at least that's been my experience; things may be different in your hometown, so check first.

Enjoy and your comments welcomed.

you are so prolific wendell, guess you dont have a day job, otherwise you wouldn't have time to create and entertain the rest of us with such an assortment of very interesting subjects and comments, which is not only enjoyed by me but a lot of people on this site , have a good one my friend!!

I agree with Eugene's comments above, Wendell. While the rest of us are working our tails off and our fingers to the bone under backbreaking and medieval conditions, you're off scampering around like a little tike probably wearing britches or pantaloons while you're off on your excursions probably being driven by your chauffeur. When you get home to your palace, your tutors help you with the spelling and cadence on your narratives. You are one lazy piece of work, you elitist snob. Then again probably not.

Seriously, if I can be serious for a moment...I don't know, can you? Oh shut the %$#* up, Dorothy, and let me type.

Seriously, the narrative is hilarious and very entertaining as always. I can't wait until your book comes out. It took me a while to find out what was broken, but I finally decided that you were talking about the crack in the fish's tail. No, Wendell, the other fish. Yes, the one on the right. At first I thought you were talking about the rusted bullet hole in the upper right which is actually more of a blemish than a break. By the way before I forget, that is one weird looking fountain. It almost looks Asian.

Seriously good posting here, Wendell. I wish you had brought your hedge trimmers along or some work gloves. If I told you once, I've told you a thousand times: spray the place with Round Up and then come back for a clear shot next week. Do you ever listen? Nooooooooooo you don't.

Except for the foliage blocking my view, I really like the shot...especially your capture of the reflective metal or chrome paint. Beautiful lighting and excellent light and dark contrasts. The foliage on the far left is pretty softly focused, but I'll let that slide because the fountain apparently has no need of Flomax. 7.5 out of 10.

I may be schizophrenic, but at least I have each other.

Something wrong with an area that has little naked, frog ridin' jockeys right out in the open, well except for the foliage, Wendell.
Cool find and the description shows your great powers of concentration.

Rollicking good narrative as usual - and I like the blue/green tones look to this shot.

Yes, it does appear as though we are the ones who are hiding. The rider and frog seem oblivious. Enjoyed this.
