Taking a Break

One of the fellows I work with taking a short break from the heat of the day. Given his fancy headgear I'd say he thought the flies were bad that day. Or else it was National Silly Hat Day and nobody bothered to tell me.

Enjoy and your comments welcomed.

He's just over the hill, Wendell. Don't tell him I said that.
Looks like you are about to be over the hill.
Good perspective on aging.

It is a very good perspective and dof. Interesting shot. Always like the paths going somewhere...I don't know where and it doesn't matter.

I like that mid-range DOF Wendell - not always easy I know.

Let's get the unrelated to photography stuff out of the way first.

1) What do you mean by hot? It's been in the upper 90's here. That's Fahrenheit and we have no humidity.
2) We have little buzzing flies around here. They're a type of black fly and they seem drawn to cuts and the facial openings maybe for moisture or access. They swarm and are relentless. Is that what you're talking about? Ask your co-worker where he got his hat. I'll order one for myself. When it's so hot, I want to work in shorts but end up in long pants, long sleeved shirt and a hat.

Fascinating shot and an interesting perspective on how your brain chemicals cause your synapses to fire like nobody else on Earth. In a billion years I would never have thought of this shot, yet it's pretty darn good and provides some insight into your work in the woods.

I'm not sure if you used software for selective blurring, but you've highlighted the subject very well while sharing some of the wilderness foliage where you spend your work days. I like the way that the trail leads the eye to the subject.

The reason why the sun sets in the evening is because it wants to see the sunrise in the morning. I rise in the morning because I want to see them both. RvdB
