He's back again this year and he brought a friend. These would be groundhogs, woodchucks, ground squirrels, whistle-pigs, or whatever you want to call them. It doesn't really matter what you call them because they just turn and run the other way. They do seem to favour this particular stretch of lawn. If I could convince them to spread out their foraging range it would save me from having to mow the lawn.

Enjoy and your comments welcomed.

It appears they are discussing just what to do about you, Wendell. From what little I can pick up, they're discussing Sink Holes. I think you should Google their most desired meal, and get it out there forthwith.
And don't forget to take a print of this image, along with their meal. They're bound to love it.
I think it's exceptional.

You need to post this 30 days in a row so it would really be Groundhog Day, Wendell.
Ground Chuck sounds better then Ground Dave.

I love the focal light on the dynamic duo - make sure you feed them well you can get a nasty ankle fracture from a groundhog hole.

I was going to follow SOB's [Bob] line of approach to commenting, but gave up the idea for fear of being politically incorrect. At a loss of any ideas to make fun I shall simply say that they look like "Chip & Dale 20 years later". Age and beer tells...
The feeding issue raised by Doug sounds good to me. Do that, please.

They may be discussing how they are tired of eating vegetables and are looking to add some meat to their diet. You're not to close by are you Wendell? Well are you? Good image.
