Despite appearances to the contrary this is not a stream. This is a road covered with anywhere from 6-12 inches water, if not more in some places. It was also as the title suggests the road not taken when I was working in this area. Instead of being able to walk along a quick clean trail I had to hump my way through wind fallen trees and swamp to get in and out of the area for the better part of a week.

Enjoy and your comments welcomed.

It may not be pretty, but it certainly is well documented with nice reflections of the trees that didn't end up windfalls, as well as the flooded trail and trees that succumbed to the winds.

Nice tree reflections on the muddy waters, Wendell. It really doesn't look like a road with all that water. Good place to test out a Jeep!

The thing that goes the farthest, towards making life worthwhile, it costs the least and does the most, is just a pleasant smile.

It make me wonder what type of work you do Wendell. Perhaps monitoring beavers.
Good shot with wonderful reflections. Beauty can be found anywhere. Even in the middle of a road.
I see this one leading to the contest.

Well you would not want to take it for a walk but great to take as a photo shot my friend .The reflection are love and sharp and I love the natural colours in the photo plus very good composition too. Plus when you enlarge this photo it brings out all the textures in the trees to my good friend.

Whoa... I'm not sure Frost was thinking of a road quite so 'untraveled' when he wrote the poem... Great entry!
