There is it turns out to be limits to friendship. We'll put up with a great many things from our friends, but lines do get crossed and ties must be cut. In this case someone cut the ties, physical or otherwise, that restrained this dog to their yard and allowed it to roam free through the neighbourhood. And it don't help that the dog likes to conduct its business on the lawn. So if this is your hound feel free to look after it yourself, maybe build a kennel or hire a dog sitter. Or one day your dog may not return home.

Enjoy and your comments welcomed.

He looks really old! Great capture of the details of his coat, collar and the sad expression on his face! I'm glad he has a tag, and hopefully someone will come looking for him. Good one.

Excellent details, and color. I do hope they come for him, part of being a pet owner is being responsible. Your editing here is very good! =^..^=tigs

I concur with your thinking...owners of animals should take an interest in their well being!...They can also cause an accident where a child can be harmed!..

Good shot of this though!

Ah, there always seems to be a loose one in every neighborhood. His nose is to the ground, could be looking for home. Great shot.

It looks like he is trying to backtrack and find his way home, Wendell. We all recognize those spots in the yard where the grass is greener and taller.

With a collar and tag I'm hoping he was returned home - Sandi is right about the responsibility of being a pet parent. The lighting and detail is excellent Wendell.
