It's amazing how these things stay on the tracks given the grade some of these curves have. Especially when they're going full speed and are hauling double-decker cars behind them. This is the gypsum train headed out of Halifax to pick up a load of gypsum in Milford. In about two hours it will be returning full of ore to once again interrupt the day's work schedule.

A train coming at us from around a curve.
Pauline was never crazy about this scene but someone always saved her.

The thing that blows my mind, is the power that is generated by the engine to pull all that weight. I give you an A+ on this shot, Wendell. Superb color and clarity. I love that sky!

Well let's hope your cleaning up of fallen Trees does the job all else if you brake a arm or leg who is going to get the delivery of plaster Paris lol.Lovely looking capture and I love the colours in this photo and all the green foliage in this scene and the detail is lovely and sharp in all area of this photo as well.Lovely looking train and I actually like the blue and white sky too.

Great shot, Wendell. I wonder what the engineer was think when he saw you popping out of the brush with a camera. Bet he double-checked his speedometer! Bravo.

I love trains ..your right about how theystickon thetrack at speed....

we have one called Inter-City125 ..125 m.p.h.....and boy, do they wizz past!..
