This palace is near the Guimarães Castle and dates from the 15th Century, was built for Afonso, Count of Barcelos - bastard son of king John I of Portugal and future Duke of Braganza. The Royal House of Braganza is the name of a royal dynasty (the 4th and the last), which ruled Portugal from 1640 to 1910 and the Empire of Brazil from 1822 to 1889. In 1910 the Republicans kill the D. Manuel II, the last king of Portugal and Portugal became a Republic.

Very interesting piece of history and I read it with enthusiasm. I like the upload and your angle negates the need for keystoning, of which I am just learning.
