Downtown Edmonton skylight early night. My original image was darker and not as sharp as this one. Edited by Gaeljet2

Stephen....

Well, I'm probably the last person who should be commenting on your photo since I have never taken a night time photo. But there you are under "comment request" so I'll do my best. I don't write "nice shot" critiques; so you'll have to wade through the verbiage to make any sense of this.

I'll give you credit for taking this photo. If I lived in a big city, maybe I'd give it a try. Out here in the sticks, I'm not sure what I would shoot. I like the reflection at the bottom of the shot. To me the shot looks a little out of focus. Maybe that's because the shutter is open for awhile. Also the sky looks funky as if it's been added. The reason I say that is because there's a lighter outline around where the sky meets the buildings that doesn't look quite right.

I'd give the shot a 5 out of 10.

Pittsburgh offers the foolproof night photo. This shot was pretty good though.

To me it's a very nice early evening shot. Going by the reflection I'd say the sky looks natural. I can see how it would be easy to get it to dark, but I believe its a good image.
