First in a water series over the next couple of days. 1. Scuba diving in a remote body of water somewhere in the backwoods of Maine, we feel a rumbling and hear a swishing sound. Turning towards the sound we see a slit begin to open out of nowhere, seemingly splitting the water apart. Light seeps out of the slit in bright beams as we shield our eyes from the intensity. After several impossibly long moments, the rift suddenly completely opens and seemingly turns inside out; swallowing the known world around us and revealing the new world we shall explore......to be continued.

Beautiful - it looks almost like a row of mouths. Not open to swallow or sinister - just a row of creatures whose mouths happen to be the bits currently visible as they swim about their business.

Fantastic design, Mike! I like this for so many reasons. For it's shadows and lighting, the lines, and smooth flow. Not to forget the wonderful shade of blue. It all makes for a really dramatic image. Saw this in the VB first, and had to come in for a closer look. High marks from me, of course :) I look forward to the next. Well done!
