Contradiction in terms here (musically). Blues is generally associated with lost love, cheating spouses, drinking, prison and any number of unfortunate life events. This is a positive spin on the blues. "Happy Blues," you say? You bet. The reason blues is tragedy based is that life's tragedies generate the most intense emotions. The best music comes from conveying intense emotions through the art of music; coming from the heart. The end of the songs are usually tipped with gold though as a parting thought ;) I want to write a blues tune after I experience an intense happy emotion. Like a child birth, or getting a new puppy..." Ok, maybe not. Thanks for visiting.

An interesting image and lovely commentary.
I just can't get the image out of my head now though...almost of an odd little creature meditating..perhaps a moogle!

Hehe...I'm sorry but that's what I saw first. Great background.

Wow Mike! Very interesting piece here. The story helps describe it very well, I might add! Cool frac! And I've written a few songs myself. One was a sorta blues song I wrote after my dad died. A tear jerker, but a happy remembrance as well. This piece of yours resembles my feelings at the time. Nice job buddy! :) :)

Oh, I think there are some blues songs out there that are filled with human emotion that isn't all tragedy, and I've listened to a lot of music!! Your goal is worthy, Uncle BB, as is your upload!

"I never looked for it, gave it no name; yet I knew it always, when the gift of peace came. I stood quite still for the moment that it lasted...Then the light shifted slightly and the moment passed, leaving me...with the lasting echo of its presence.." Diana Gabaldon
