A rather old Donkey engine from days gone by. If I have time and enough smarts I plan on using this for the contest and removing the old pump image. Lets see if I can figure it out:):) Enjoy my friends:)
So explain to me again where the donkey sits. I'll get used to this new-fangled steam technology. So were this snapped with your new daguerreotype? A good looking capture Bruce. Best of luck in the contest.
The reason why the sunsets in the evening is because it wants to see the sunrise in the morning. I rise in the morning because I want to see them both. RvdB
Wow this is some B & W photo, it as great detail and very nice effect that you applied to this one too.Love all the sharp detail and spot on focus too.
Your photography certainly does justice to the subject. You've conveyed a good deal of character in this old engine. At right the cropping just misses the wheel which can stir a feeling of too close for comfort. But you have achieved something outstanding with black and white here.
Nicely presented ... I've seen these old steam engines up close in person & I must the treatment you gave the image is perfect. A wonderful entry, Bruce ... best of luck.
Hello Bruce....Anything to do with steam is right up my street...Have you any idea how old and what it would have been used for...This is a nice shot, well done.....All the very best to you Bruce.........................................Mick.
