I took this shot about a year ago of an old dying sunflower in our garden area in Walnut Creek. It was very dark and had very little detail in the 'seed' portion because I had to shoot almost straight up into it with a very light background and so I never did anything with it till today. Hope you like the results. Paint.net:):)

Hey Doug. I used Photoscape to lighten the main flower. You couldn't see the seeds in the original:):). So it worked out well for this. Thanks.

I SEE with the eye of an artist, I can see a lot of beauty, also a world of descriptions that are of what only nature could describe fully, nice!!!!!!

Different style Bruce, but a perfect capture with its own story.

The diversity of your art only shows more clearly the beautiful and interesting soul of the artist.

You did a great job with it Bruce. The background complements it well and although the drooping sunflower has a mournful look it is quite beautiful and it has provided seeds for many more flowers:)

My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust

Good post work on this photo, Bruce. A nice capture of the sunflower and great colour tones in the image.
