Bruce, my (garden) gate is always open. The only ones that pass there without my permission are stray or neighbor cats who use my yard as a 'litter' box because they don't want to use their own one. I've chosen for an animal-friendly solution: a water sprinkler with motion detector that can be switched on or off remotely. However, this sprinkler doesn't distinguish between human and animal passers-by, 😜 . So when my neighbor walks into my yard mindlessly, he gets a shower for free.
I can see in your, otherwise very nice render, that the security is applied strictly. Whether this security can be relaxed depends on the local situation. I'm curious if the advice from your narrative can be followed, Buddy!
