Bruce, if I had to choose between real gold and your 'golden' render, my choice isn't made yet. In fact, real gold is just a dead material that glitters and is meant as exhange material. Your golden render may not shine to that extent and isn't suitable as an echange object, but it does give a great visual pleasure.
