Bruce, this tree has some resemblance with the Libidibia coriaria (common name 'divi-divi') trees in the Caribbean. They got their shape because of the trade winds that batter the exposed coastal sites where the grow. Think this is the case by the you called 'Horizontal Tree' as well. Anyhow a very interesting and good capture, Buddy!
If you think you can't accept something, try to change it. But if this doesn't work, don't be frustrated, but give it later another try. The one who perseveres wins!
