"The artist is a receptacle for emotions that come from all over the place; from the sky, from the earth, from a scrap of paper, from a passing shape, from a spider’s web." Pablo Picasso

Well, there I was ... checking the new images ... abstracts ... and this one jumped out at me from the first page as I write.
It was yours. :o)
Really, really ... really liking the depth and dimensionality of your flame here. Not sure if it is purely a result of your colour gradient or some post work, perhaps?
No matter ... it works well.
Well balanced composition ... not much to suggest here for improvements.
Again, a unique abstract from you ... and one that I like a lot.
Thanks for sharing this one with us.
p.s. Just thought of something ... don't know if it is applicable here ... but, I have found to further delineate an aspect of a flame ... once you know which transform is doing what ... duplicating that transform and/or changing the weight can assist in that pursuit.
Curious as to how your image here would look if that red portion was more pronounced. Just a thought.
Weird and very effective image. I especially like the pinky-coppery fan on the left and the ripples of depth this has. It is being folded but as a result of pulling rather than neat turning, I think.
I am honoured to be listed as a friend or to see an image of mine as a favourite, but I keep lists of neither. This helps me appreciate images uploaded by strangers as well as friends. Please understand that a failure to reciprocate in kind indicates a lack of appreciation for neither gesture nor work.
