Since it's still storming outside with heavy rain and sometimes even hail, I have no choice but to upload a older pic or none at all. ;-) So here's one from my summer vacation to France. It's from the old citadel in Carcassonne! Hope you'll enjoy!

What a wonderful shot this is too. Everything is so clear and the perspective of the shot is really appealing. The citadel seems to run on for quite a ways, unless that is just a wall surrounding it. Nice shot. Gabrielle.

You will be led to the knowledge of the internal things which are invisible to you, by the external things which you see before you. . . . Even so then, we can represent to ourselves in thought the Author of all that is, by contemplating and admiring the (visible) things which He has made, and ever brings into being. - Hermes

I love castle pictures. I'm glad it rained where you are today, because if it hadn't, we wouldn't have gotten to see this. I'm not glad it hailed, though. Nice shot, Gabrielle.

Well, better to see an impressive looking castle than rain and hail. We only had a bit of that weather here in Hamburg today.(until now)

This is great photo. Am I glad it was storming so we could see this one. Hail yes, I am!! Love the angle and I'm like Cindy, it does seem to go on for a quite a ways. Talk about a long construction site. Good post Gabi.

That looks like the Aude Gate. I've been twice to Carcassonne, and I will go again as soon as I can. Southern France is my favorite place in the world, and I rent a certain house every other year for a couple of weeks. In June of 2003 I spent three weeks in Carcassonne, and shot a lot of the images I uploaded to Caedes while there. The castles in the surrounding countryside are breath-taking. Of course when I'm back in the states I tell everyone that the photos are from Las Vegas. That way I won't have to see crowds of Americans when I go to my favorite place :-)

where is caracarasonne? what an incredible long wall!
It must be a great experience to walk along that wall and explore the city.
A beautiful photo. If this is the result of rainy days and hails...then I wish you all the bad wheather in the world!
