I took this photo back in 2003. This part of the swamp has a lot of history behind it. Native Americans camped and hunted here. There were some historic battles such as the Seminole Indian wars of the mid 1800's. I haven't been back there in ages. I kind of miss the SLURP! my boots would make with every step as I trudged through the muck. Yes, there's plenty of snakes and alligators here as well, along with monster spider webs. :)

It is a beautiful place with the sun coming in through the trees Alex. I would imagine there are mosquitoes along with those gators - two things I can do without on a camping trip. Very nice presentation.
