I have been busy the last several months and haven't had a chance to keep up with the different contests. So, when I saw the theme of the latest contest I thought I would throw my hat in and see how the caedian's like my submission . The back story to this photo is, my Grandfather sent a postcard (the one featured here) back to his mother and family from a work camp I believe. It was sent in September 1914. My grandfather isn't in the picture. I'll include the note he wrote on the back in tomorrow's entry.

Great and historical entry, Alex. I'm glad that you put this unique entry in the 'Retro' contest.
Good Luck with it my, friend!

Good for you throwing your hat in the ring and entering the contest...what an old photo and I'm impressed what good condition it is for its' age...best of luck in the contest, Alex.

What a cool old photo. Looks like they are using steam power perhaps.

An old photograph that certainly captures viewers attention! By looking at the ghostly worker in the light overalls to the right it must have been a very slow shutter speed.

Well done Alex.

An interesting glimpse into 100 years ago. I like the mixture of people, the three piece suits and workers. It seems to show a hardworking population.
