I stopped by Lettuce Lake yesterday and I knew the water levels were low, and actually I have seen it lower than this. Way back when (10 years ago) when we didn't have a desalination plant to supplement our drinking water, much of the inlet to the right was a bone dry field with grasshoppers. We have been in a drought for months now, but Tampa keeps on trying to compete with the Jones and more of our natural resources dwindle away. Most of our the city's drinking water comes from this river presented here. Also, the inlet to the right is "Lettuce Lake" albeit, it's an inlet not a lake and the river to the left is the Hillsborough River, the main waterway through the area.
