The pyramid of the moon as seen from the pyramid of the sun in Teotihuacán, Mexico. The steps leading up both of the pyramids are quite steep and narrow. I recommend visiting if you ever have the chance. Just be sure to bring plenty of water and sunblock!

There's a comparison I like here, how grand, proud and beautiful the layout and construction of the ancient 'less advanced' plaza and how sprawling, flat and unimaginative the towns and roads around it are.

Teotihuacan was thought to have been built around 200 BC. What is amazing to me is that all the roads and buildings from the ancient city are perfectly straight. Even out in some of the western cities in the U.S. where they have tried to create a grid of roads, the roads aren't as straight as this!

My husband has climbed all the ones there when he was in Mexico. This is a wonderful capture showing us all the detail and textures of this pyramid & of the scenery surrounding it. Just gave this a high score in VB & had to come by to see let you know I really liked it.

I have been here and I agree- the steps are very steep! But it is definately worth seeing! Very good picture!
