This is a really lucky shot. I did this with my CANON IXUS 130 and put the camera on the balcony. The storm was about 15 km away and very clear to watch. I had the lens open for 1 second and inbetween the shots there was a camera delay (saving the data) of another second. About 200 shots that evening: 3 good ones in it (Thunder 10 - 12). Thats not much but I think it was worth it. With my analog camera I left the lens open up to 5 minutes, so it was easier to capture lightnings.

Tremendous shot, It's not easy getting a lightening shot, I really love the colors.
