This is about 40 minutes from Salt Lake City in Utah and one of the only man made structures able to be seen from space!! It is a massive open cast copper mine still in use. When i was there they will drilling holes ready to blast another section of cliff, right below the visitors centre away :S

The contrast of the darker, snow capped mountains in the backround completes this post well. An interesting array of colors here, and nice definition of the various layers. The focus seems just a touch soft in the lighter colored lower right, but that may just be me.
