A view from the top of Malham Cover looking across Mallham Dale to the other dales beyond. For those not familiar with the terminology in Yorkshire a dale is a valley and the 'mountains' are often called peaks or pikes! In the foreground you can see a limestone pavement and dropped away out of sight is the mammoth cliff that is Malham Cove which is a sheer curved cliff formed during the last iceage! Please let me know your thoughts :D

Hello Rachel, I think the sky is tremendous, and really sets a mood for this well composed image. Nice depth to this one as well, I have nothing negative to say. Tigs♥ =^..^=

Maybe if they paid their council taxes they'd get some proper pavement. Must be hard on the suspension driving over that, though I imagine it cuts down on the speeding. With all them wheel-ruts going every which way this must be a crossroads.
A lovely view of the dale and good depth in your photo, Rachel. A nice sky with some dramatic lighting in it. Good work.

The difference between a bad artist and a good one is: the bad artist seems to copy a great deal; the good one really does. ~William Blake

Hate to say it, but I agree with Wendell again. On this shot, the sky is very dramatic; so there's no reason to crop any of it out of the shot. Lovely colors, good contrast, well focused landscape, great subject matter and a good composition.

Rachel, a well balanced composition with a dramatic sky as bonus, make this to a very fine image. I enjoy it and its atmosphere. You did a good job.
