Another slightly different view from the inside of Tintern Abbey. The architecture was so alluring to my camera i could not help but keep snapping. Comments and constructive advice always welcome.

That was a wise decision Rachel, because you can provide us now with another very fine capture of this impressive and very ancient architecture. Think that only a few people will realize that Tintern Abbey was already founded in 1131 by the Lord of Chepstow.
Except in your postings, I've never seen anything like this place. I could spend days out here just shooting the architectural aspects. I'm especially fond of old stone and you seem to have mastered capturing the textures of the stone.
1131!!! I guess there's a good reason they call this the New World over here. We used to specialize in modern. Now we're leading the world in decrepit since our fearless leaders in Washington are mostly drunks and thieves and can't spare the money to fix up the bridges and roads. But I diverge.
This is a glorious shot. Love the colors. Especially the greens. I'll assume that the white spots are a native lichen.
Another excellent composition, Rachel. I like the angle of this shot especially - the horizontal flow of alternating light, shadow, landscape within the old abbey is a nice touch.
You would think there was at least one reputable stone mason somewhere on the isle who could put this place to rights. Or at least do a little touch-up work. Another good view of the ruined abbey, Rachel. A good angle in the shot and nice textures.

Thanks for this very fine post.
