Well, well it looks like Mr. Squirrel in his defense trips up by showing us this little fella snacking in the feed. Mr. Squirrel didn't realize this feathered friend is of course welcome in the feeder. The verdict regarding Innocent, Until Proven Guilty concludes tomorrow. Feel free in the meantime to read up on this Black-capped Chickadee RIGHT HERE .

Very sharp and clear - a lovely photo of the puffed up Chicadee. By the way Mr. Squirrel looks so innocent he deserves a pardon!

Looks like a lot of spent sunflower seeds in this feeder. Birdie is looking to see if you're coming out to replenish the stock!

You will be led to the knowledge of the internal things which are invisible to you, by the external things which you see before you. . . . Even so then, we can represent to ourselves in thought the Author of all that is, by contemplating and admiring the (visible) things which He has made, and ever brings into being. - Hermes

"If the breed don't eat the seed ... you must concede."

That is a direct quote from Johnny Cockatiel, lawyer for the defense.

Me? I am still out with the jury havin' a few. ;o)

Nice shot Randy. Really liking the colour contrasts that you have presented to us here. And fine focus and DOF on your feathered seed stealing fiend ...or ... is he?

*cues appropriate dramatic music*

Awaiting the verdict here.

Who can ever comment after the great and powerful purmusic has left his say, more or Les? lol...great job, Randy. I think I picked up a trick from you anyway...I have a feeder, not a tray, so when the birds eat, the hulls drop to the ground...now if I had a tray, then they'd have to stay at the feeding post longer digging around looking for full nuggets of seeds...ergo..more time to take a shot..ah ha...another sub-mystery solved in this tense drama of yours.. ;)

Perfectly focused capture of one of my favorite birds, well worthy of that neat frame you put it in, good work Randy.
