Ahhh, continuing on our little journey here we have a Common Crow (Euploea modesta) from Southeast Asia. There are many butterflies that are considered distasteful, more than a few of these are in the subfamily Danainae. The common crow is no exception, storing bitter chemicals from the plants it eats as a caterpillar. It is common throughout Southeast Asia, and frequents hilltops and streambeds. Let's move on shall we? Let's look deep into the leafy canopy for more treasures.

Crow? What an odd name lol
Sad to think something so beautiful is so nasty.
I think this is a quite exceptional photo - he clarity is perfect and it is just a pleasure to look at.

Well, it might not taste good to predators, which is a good thing, but to me it looks like it's been dipped in chocolate...smooth and creamy brown, which points up how well you've taken this one..in my faves folder, Mr. Randy.

I guess I got my Roman Numerals confused! LOL I wondered where these two had gone and now I see that this is a beauty too lovely to miss. Wonderful clarity! How'd you get him to be so still?

You will be led to the knowledge of the internal things which are invisible to you, by the external things which you see before you. . . . Even so then, we can represent to ourselves in thought the Author of all that is, by contemplating and admiring the (visible) things which He has made, and ever brings into being. - Hermes
