From my trip to the beach with Alice yesterday. I havnt been here for a few years! wow, how it had changed.. we always used to go here when i was a kid, the houses on top of the cliffs have all fallen into the sea, they cliffs have fallen down, the sea defences are all broken with lots of bits missing and the big concrete slope down to the sea has crumbled and been replaced by some horrid metal steps!

What a shame - I know your coastline suffers dreadfully in bad storms. We get bad ones too, but thankfully the situation hasn't changed much in the last 20 years, apart from the tides getting higher all the time.
Wonderful historic shot, showing how it is now in 2007. Keep it and let's see how it is in another 10 years. Well taken and interesting photo.

Great scene. The power of nature is beyond belief and impossible to stop. Our coastline erodes lots every year and as much as they try to slow it down it cannot be done. Your photograph details all the struggles of man against nature, good job in portraying reality.

That's too bad Jan, all things must change some for the worse though I'm afraid. Nicely done anyway my dear.

Even in the wake of her destructive powers, Mother Nature leaves some beauty behind...glad you captured it, Jan.

Wowzer Jan, you caught the pure fury of the sea. Fine composition and details of this stormy appearing photo. It looks like a new sea wall is needed. Good view of the surge of the wild waves. I have a love of ocean view images, so my thanks for this one :))

I need to catch up on things so can't comment too much. But I love all of your fine images. I might be lurking in the background :)
