This is for Gerry P, mainly because it was inspired by one of his shots, but his shot is far better than this effort obviously , and this hasnt come out much like his shot, just inspired by it!! lol And for Sabine who wanted to see a painting, ive just finished it for my treatment room at work because i wanted something plain, relaxing and easy to look at when people are meant to be chilling out and being reflexologied! But the photo doesnt seem as nice as the real painting! Its quite a largish painting, its hard to get the feel of it in a small photo! But enjoy anway! lol

I knew you were one hell of an artist! Lovely painting, makes me want to sit on the bench and look at the water for a long time. Soothing place to visit, even in one's imagination. Great work.

It's a wonderful painting, and the composition with the dark, quiet evening, combined with the soft subtle colors and the water theme and inviting bench, all go towards making this a very soothing and peaceful image to reflect and rest ones' eyes on...a beautiful piece of workmanship and very fitting and relaxing for a treatment room or to add atmosphere and tasteful decor to ones' home...great work and thanks for sharing.:Pat.

"Reflexologied" ??? Whew ... that one gave me a headache ... had to go to the dictionary to get some relief. Much easier staring at this lovely painting of peace and quiet. Excuse me I feel a "nappy-time" comin' on. :o)

Just an old "Grampa" who still has a Kodak "Box" camera kicking around the attic ... learning and enjoying the wonders of modern digital photography.

I like its mood and form...however, I think it is too simplistic and needs depth and many more colours to make it look natural. Difficult to paint night scenery as it does not afford obvious colouring and every shape takes on more significance

I know what you're talking about, trying to take a photo of a painting is very hard..I can see on close inspection that the texture in the canvass itself must give it more of a feeling of vibrancy. I wouldn't pay too much attention to the naysayers..I think it's perfectly done for what you set out to accomplish and I envy your patients...having such a caring and sensitive person to help them feel better.
