For skiers, there's nothing like miles upon miles of virgin snow to slice through. The soliatary figure gives the scene scale. I had toyed with the idea of this one in colour, but the only colour was a slightly blue sky. [View is towards Mount Assinborne (left hand side of frame) from below the Continental Divide Chair at Sunshine Ski Resort]

Where Earth and Sky meet and kiss. Beautiful smooth snow and fluffy clouds...and yeah, the skiier makes it all real. I can't imagine this one in anything but black and white.

The photo is really good. You know I am a fan of b&w. I think the frame distracts from the beauty of the photo on this one though.

I love the black and white, and I miss skiing so much. I was basically a natural at it and I loved it from my first try. I am headed over to Southern California in a couple weeks though and I'm sure I will be able to find some time drive up north a little bit and get some skiing in. You have inspired me.
