The western most community in Nunavut territory. Looking north towards the sea ice, all I can say is that it was below -30 deg C, so I wasn't out for long.

I can feel the isolation of this community in your excellent capture. Looking at the homes, I wonder about insulation, in such harsh conditions. tigs=^..^=

I have visited a lot of the area around there. Although I am used to cold weather where I live...these areas are a 'different' kind of chill! .. more drier

Wow, this so reminds me of the northern villages in Alaska (Barrow comes to mind, in particular).

While beautiful, I don't think I could stand living in such a barren landscape, without trees, for any length of time.

I love that your photograph includes someone walking in a kuspuk. It adds a crucial human element to the otherwise frigid image.

Hope you wore a nice, warm pair of wool socks! :)
