...This image was taken back in the early part of 2001, in Illinois (Chicago 'burbs) when I had just gotten my "baby"...the 4WD Ranger I always wanted (a '98)...in the driveway of the townhome I owned with my mentor, Vicki...I know it wasn't as much as some people have...but I worked...and worked hard for it, as I always have for things...Sadly, the economy changed all that, and in '05, I had to get rid of this...sell my home, and move back to NJ to the same town as my sister now resides...People are experiencing these sort of hardships everywhere...I guess all you can do is have faith...

I can relate so very well to your narrative Ron. The saying goes that tough times do not last but tough people do. Holding onto your faith is indeed very important. Hang onto the things that really matter and hold them dear, everything else comes and goes and that has to be okay I guess.

Remember Job? We are not meant for the material things of this world. They are fleeting. It is the nature of 'this' world.

It is good to have nice memories Yogi. Some people never even have that. I like your determination. That is 98% of the battle. Good blast from the past.

It's a shame you had to lose your truck, and your home on top of it all. That Ranger is a beauty. I hope things are getting better for you. Keep the faith!

I can certainly relate to the current hardships people are facing nowadays, including myself, Ron. The good memories that we hold onto can often help us to look forward in a positive way, and rise above our troubles, to work towards a better future. One of my brothers in the burbs, had this same Ranger. Thanks for sharing! Cheers :)

I can only agree with the others and say hang in there my friend. I sometimes have to remind myself, no matter how bad it seems there is always some alot more worse off! Sad but true!

Some are survivors and YOU are one of them. There is a lot to be said for that. Endurance is difficult but it's worth it when we can look back and take a pride in what we went thru and where we are now. Knowing in our own hearts that we "keep the faith" and have the memories to cherish, that's the good part.
We each may feel a bit lonely at times, struggling, but then again, we can also stand straight and tall and feel good abouit where we are. I agree with Stand...'touch times don't last, but tough people do.' Survivors, see? Hugs to you tody my friend. And onward we go, eh?!! Verena
