...I have such nasty luck with smartphones...Possibly because I have yet to land one that can handle the power use I throw at it...Not sure...

"Aleister Crowley" was serving me well - up until the Android Oreo upgrade...Then it was fast battery drain issues and bootlooping at 50% until I plugged it in, charged it back up, and the process would repeat itself again...I tried everything - 5 factory resets, deleting possible problematic apps in safe mode, doing cache cleanouts via recovery mode...Nothing changed! Finally, it was back to the carrier, and since my particular model phone was no longer offered by neither the carrier, nor manufacturer, I had the choice of upgrading to a newer manufacturer/model, or accept something else of equal value...Since I wasn't finished paying for the one I had, nor really hip on going into even more hock for a new one, I chose the latter...

I'm not particularly happy about my choice...It doesn't look as good, operate as fast, nor does it have the on-board "blast you ears" headphone goodies, but I do gain wireless charging, better Wi-Fi reception, IP68 water and dust resistance, AND of course, decent battery life...

...Since the phone itself was black, as well as the tough case (that allows for wireless charging) - hence the name... Hopefully, this one will last...
