Taken last Saturday in Walnut Creek, with my cheap Canon Powershot Elph 330 HS. When the leaves change to the Fall colors, I will go back with the DSLR.

I've been buying a lot of produce from Ohio's Amish area this summer Jim. A supermarket from Ohio called Heinens came into my area a year ago and it quickly became one of my favorite places to shop. They have great produce from Amish farms and as I am a from-scratch cook I use a lot of produce. This area looks just like I imagined and your excellent capture does it justice including the hawk soaring overhead!

The simple life for sure but even that life style is tainted by the outside world. A beautiful shot of this peaceful countryside. Nice shot.

Life is a Constant Audition
I admire the simple, yet hard-working life of the Amish. They hold onto values long lost in our everyday, modern life. I wonder if they make Shoo Fly Pie out that way. Beautiful landscape, Jimbob.

Very well chosen vantage point. With some 'courage' (because of the steep height in relation to our age); your 'unique equipment'; and the Canon Powershot Elph 330, you could provide us with an excellent shot. Doesn't matter to me where it was taken, in the Amish area or on the North Pole (lol). Only the result counts. Kudos my friend!

It is not the price of the camera that really matters Jimbob - It is the composition and post work and in this image the colors and overall clarity are very good.

Very scenic countryside image Jimbob - reminds me of the Amish - Pennsylvania Dutch locale in Lancaster, PA., - there you can get a Shoo-Fly Pie - Great Capture - Looking forward to seeing this scene dressed in their autumn leaves!!!!!!!!

Great shot! I had to go on Google Earth the explore the area you took the photo and ended up over an hour going to all the little nooks are crannies in the mid west. :)
