CLICK HERE to see what it looked like before. It looks more like a new bridge, than one that has been redone. I think it has lost a lot of its charm.

What a difference!Very nice shot of the bridge with its "welcoming look" Jimbob. THe shadows add to the beauty of this shot.

Covered bridges are going the way of the horse and buggy. There were not too many even when I was young in Michigan. Ohio seems to have a lot of them.

I notice, you can't drive over that one now!...

I used to love hearing the rattle and thump thump of the horse draw carts over those!

They did a very nice job of redoing this old bridge. No driving over, but that is ok too. Terrific capture.

It's a nice redo Jimbob, but I agree with you that the bridge has lost part of its charm - Great Capture!!!!!!!!

With 'some' new paint and other maintenance, a lot of its character has gone Jimbob.
One can't have all in life. One must choose for either safety or nostalgia. Nostalgia with permanently a helmet on your head won't do my friend, lol.

The Mull does look like a new bridge, Jim. Unfortunately, the wood in the old one looked like it was deteriorating badly and would not have lasted much longer. We have Your photos for memories of how it was. At least, they renovated and did not tear it down, which is a wonderful thing.

I too think it has lost some of it's charm Jim - looks rather like a new barn - but I guess safety must come first.

I see what you mean, and agree with you. It still makes for a great photo opt. I suppose they are not allowing cars anymore to help preserve it longer. You did a good job on this one Jimbob. tigs=^..^=

It almost doesn't look as long as the original, the new is nice but the old feeling isn't the same. It's a super capture showing the wonderful work they had to do to create this, lovely colours
