Looks like you may be dabbling in Hawaiian art, Joanie. This could have been done by Polynesians. Here is an interesting tibit for you to mall over tonight, Queen Kamamalu had a tattoo applied to her tongue as an expression of her deep grief when her mother-in-law died in the 1820s. Hum...a tatoo on the tongue!! How would you know if someone was sticking their tongue out at you or just showing off their art???
