Okay John, here it is!...lol...Just remember, everyone, that this is abstract art. What I see is storm clouds and wind, and what you see could be different. But I think I'll enter this in the contest either way. Please view full size. It looks so blah and burry in the thumbnail! Thanks for all the comments and views my friends.

When I would have during my active career this severe weather on the ocean, think I would have been rather seasick Joanie, lol.

Good Luck my friend!

I would say this is a very ominous and scary cloud. There is something much more wicked than just a shower in that rain cloud! Well done Joanie.

First I thought it was some thick piece of rope but then I saw the title. Now I think it is nature in one of its most threatening form. Good one Joanie and good luck in the contest.

For me after viewing closely and inspecting in full size this still looks like a thick plait of auburn hair:) or a rope as our Raj noted. All the same if we assume the rope version - the strain shown here and force applied to the rope suggests violence for sure. Where violence meets the ropes most frequently? On the ship in a storm! Thus SOS gives the approval stamp:)

First thing that came to mind (even before reading the description or comments was a burnt rope or yarn. But as I study it, I also see the big ol' nasty storm now. Nice job. Good luck in the contest. :)
