Cannon beach taken at Ecola State Park. Notice that there is still snow in the mountains and that it looks like summer on the beach. Interesting fact: Ecola State Park was named after the whale that Lewis and Clark found on the beach. Ecola was indian (of that region, I think) for whale

Each day I must take one more step, no matter how small or how large, but I must take the step.

Nice shot. The sky and clouds over the mountains is nice. I always find that there is a great depth effect with clouds and mountains from the sea.

Beautiful beach. It looks just like the movie version on the History channel.

Excellent. gentle rolling waves instead of pounding surf. This is tranquility on display. Wish you would have stated where this is at. I don't know where Ecola State Park is nor Cannon Beach.
But I do not beauty when I see it. great capture.

My kind of photo! A superb shot with a terrific sense of recession and depth. I've only one minor criticism: the horizon is slightly on the skew. Just needs the Straightening Tool in any digital software to bring it back to the true horizontal. Congratulations - a top quality shot.

Nice shot, Kevin A little tweak of the horizon, a neutral density filter to bring out the sky detail and maybe a blue light filter to eliminate the haze and it could be even better. Nice eye for balance and composition

Amazingly beautiful. I LOVE the ocean and all that is ocean. I also enjoyed the facts you gave in regards to the name of the area. Thanks so much for sharing this with all of us. It's wonderful.
