I really like shots like this Marsha. They really show a fabric of our society. I like the different colors that have faded with age. Good post.

If they would take down the boards, and replace them with duct tape, the place would look a lot better! LOL. This is my kinda of place. I don't have to worry about being intimidated by big money dilberts while shopping there. He he.

I like the color of what's left of the siding. Someone's dream they had to abandon...we don't know why.

Not enough I would guess or it would still be in business. Lots of fine colors in this shot.

I do love them old shots like this, from all over the world for that matter, but those from you, the Americans, seem to have some special flavour indeed.
Like the books by Mark Twain and Booth Tarkington ...
I love them both.

Shows the sad fate of many such small business. Nice shot with a touch of melancholy.

I like the contrast between the run-down nature of the building and the cheery colours and light in the scene. Nicely presented photo.

A wonderful find and capture, I remember old stores like that in my neighbourhood when growing up in North Carolina

What a great photo, it reminds me of so many rode side stores/bars that I drive by on the blue highways. I like the theme of this photo, and it sure brings back the memories.
