This was taken at The Calcasieu River in Lake Charles, LA. The River was named by The Atakapa Nation ..Calcasieu (Kal-Kuh-Shoo) means Eagle.

Good rusty shot! Those pilings protect the steel RR bridge from wayward barges... cool water shot!

Excellent colors and detail in this shot, Marsha. I bet pelicans land on those pilings, don't they? (I just said that because I see a lot of pictures with pelicans on pilings.) LOL.

If pelicans do land on them, the lapping of the water must keep them clean of pelican residue. A good shot that leaves a lot to the imagination.

There were fenders hanging from the wires on the pilings but they have been ripped off. Nice capture from this low angle Marsha.
