I try to keep things simple and adjust accordingly to the settings on the camera. less editing is always better. I played with this one for an hour and just went back to the original off the card. Subtle and natural before too sharp and bold, on this one at least. Other times it might be the opposite. Depends on the mood of the shot and the subject at hand I suppose.

Sometimes you just have to leave well enough alone.
Good capture.

People are like cameras--sometimes they lose focus.

I agree that the least amount of editing is always a plus, but that can depend on the settings in the camera. I think this is superb, I can clearly see the markings and details, and I like the background, so two thumbs up from me. Oh and I love dragonflies. tigs=^..^=

Dragonflies are one of my favorite subjects and yours is very good. As for post processing I find RAW files far easier and faster to process.

I Love Dragons as much as Wolves. The fly part? not so much...yuck! I always separate that mentally and physically when encounters happen. This one landed on my hand and allowed a pose to be taken! To my much surprise. A very strange insect but one so unique...as the Dragon is! myth or not. So, A worthy subject.

Yes the settings of the camera? Right now I have a handheld that works better then this most inferior Rebel I'm currently stuck with, Thanks to my Ex, temporary anyways. Even my handheld will get adjusted, what little settings I do have. Its all about the settings! even back with film? It was all about the settings! Something pounded in my head by my Father first, then professors at college. The "Camera" can get it right. Surly not all the time. So My point? A better photographer relies heavily on those settings then software. Some of the most famous photos on display were? "drum-roll please"....yes, Jpeg. I shot both Raw and peg at the same time.

We are unique in our own way. Just like every snowflake is. they are all still snowflakes. all of them together as a whole make up the snow. A world of imperfection to create perfection!
